Dr Achyuta Samanta – A True Social Worker

 There aren’t many around who has dedicated their lives towards the welfare of underprivileged children and physically challenged children. Dr Achyuta Samanta is one of them. He is the founder of the Kalinga Institute of Social Studies and Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology. He realized that in order to live up to their true potentials; these children need to be nurtured with proper education and provided all the basic necessities of life. Dr Samanta, with his lifelong dedication and commitment, has managed to establish a society; which is run and operated with the aim of getting the best out if these children.


                                       



Dr Samanta is also the founder of KMPL or Kadambini Media Pvt Ltd. Besides. He also took the initiative to organize “Little Miss India” competition, in the year 2000; which offered a platform for girls from the backward section of the society to glaze and glow under the limelight. Over the years; Dr Samanta has the credited of setting up more than 25 shrines and spiritual organizations. He is also working on a new project, which is known as “Gandhi Gram”. This would be a tribal museum, in the memory of Mahatma Gandhi; while tribal life, culture and their heritage would be showcased. Besides, it would also be a centre for yoga and different another type of spiritual activities.

Dr Samanta is the recipient of the Honorary Degree; D.Lit; Doctor of Literature from Daffodil International University. Throughout his life, he has been an educationist and has served in numerous different posts of honour; like Executive Committee Member of AICTE ( All India Council for Technical Education), Serving Member of NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education), a member of UGC. Besides, he is also the National Executive Council Member of Indian Society of Technical Education. 


                                                      


He has used all his experience as a profound student and admirer of studies to illuminate the lives of the children belonging to the backward classes of the society. His contribution towards the welfare and grooming of tribal children over the years has been highly applauded; not only in India but at a Global platform. Dr Samanta is one of the prime examples of those individuals, who have sacrificed their lives for the development of others and offering others with the light of education. He is the person who has been instrumental in ensuring that KISC got international recognition. Today, the Kalinga Institute of Social Studies have a branch in the UK.
