Financial assistance for transplant surgeries available under BSKY, says Additional DMET Odisha has taken many steps to popularise organ transplantation activities and has progressed a lot since the year 2000. While there are eight centres for transplant and retrieval of organs across the State, it has so far done 1,312 organ transplant surgeries including 10 deceased transplants so far. KISS & Indian Navy’s NWWA Enter Pact; To Work Towards Tribal Students’ Welfare & Educational Enhancement Courses for Naval Students

Indian Navy’s Navy Welfare and Wellness Association (NWWA) on Thursday signed an MoU with the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) to promote the wellness and welfare of tribal students. Under the pact, KISS shall also provide educational enhancement courses through KIIT for the naval families from the ongoing academic year. The MoU was signed during the visit of the President of NWWA Mrs Kala Hari Kumar to the KIIT-KISS campus. Thirty Thousand KISS Students Celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

Thirty thousand students Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), the largest tribal school of the world, participated in Har Ghar Tiranga campaign today under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s independence.             The students, dressed in the Tricolour, celebrated  Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in the KISS premises where they were joined by diplomats, sportspersons and distinguished personalities from different spheres. The guests reminded of the struggle and dedication of freedom fighters. The dream of Mahatma Gandhi on tribal development was realized by Achyuta Samanta , the founder of KISS for the last 30 years. NABET Rankings: KIIT Polytechnic Adjudged Odisha’s Best

KIIT Polytechnic has been ranked as the best polytechnic in Odisha among all the state and private-run polytechnics by National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET), a constituent Board of Quality Council of India (QCI). The results were declared today. This is the first time that the rankings of the polytechnics in Odisha were carried out. The exercise came against the backdrop of the State Government’s enhanced focus on improving quality of technical institutes and identifying the best ones that adhere to quality teaching.
