GM and KISS University Signed Remarkable MoU for Academic and Research Collaboration

 SAMBALPUR, 22nd June 2021: The Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences, i.e., KISS and Gangadhar Meher University, i.e., GM university, signed MoU on 17th June 2021 in the premises of GM university. The treaty established a collaboration of both the universities in the research and academic field. Professor N. Nagaraju, the vice-chancellor of GMU, and Professor Deepak Kumar Behera, vice-chancellor of KISS University, signed the paper in front of Dr. Achyuta Samanta, the originator of KIIT and KISS university. The event was virtual, and many dignitaries were present in this virtual event.

The chancellors emphasised the collaboration and said that this would help many tribal students in the coming years. The treaty will assist in the improvement of research, training program, internship, academic performances, and many more. In the ceremony, Dr. Achyuta Samanta also proposes that he sponsor two gold medals in the name of KISS for GMU toppers every year during the time of convocation. It is an excellent initiative from the founder to motivate the students and uplift their careers.

The university has worked for almost 30 years in the upliftment of tribal students. It is a significant achievement for Odisha because now tribal students can shape their future better. The educational growth is not only tribal students but of the entire tribal community. The universities are taking significant steps in the coming years to educate the students. This collaboration will help them gain confidence in research and the academic field. In the event, if dignitaries were present to witness the great treat signature between two universities. Prof. Pitabasa Sahoo, KISS University's Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Girish Chandra Singh, GM University Registrar, Dr. Uma Charan Pati, Deputy Registrar, and Dr. Prasanta Kumar Routray, the Registrar, are the few names. Dr. Nibedita Nath, Head of Department of Anthropology of GM University, offers a vote of thanks in the event.
