Admission forms for international admissions are issued from the month of December to March annually. Applicants are considered duly eligible for the UG programmes at KIIT if they are successful in securing minimum 45% to 60% marks in their 10+2 based on the programmes.

Admissions to the PG programmes require the students to have acquired minimum 50% to 55% marks in their graduation level or any equivalent course. Nevertheless, there are certain PG and UG courses where the age of the candidates is taken into consideration.

Both domestic and international students are advised to go through the eligibility criteria thoroughly as mentioned by the University for the course they are willing to secure admission. That’s because eligibility requirements might vary from one course to another.

Admissions to the different programmes on offer at KIIT are done via the KIIT Entrance Examination or KIITEE. This goes for all the courses except BDS, MBBS, PG Dental and PG Medical. Admissions to BDS, MBBS, PG Dental and PG Medical programmes are done via NEET.

The candidates looking to get admissions for the courses offered at Kalinga Institute of Industrial technology should have an academic performance that is at par with the requirements of the institute. Nevertheless, due weightage is given to the candidates at the time of final selection.

Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their scores in the written test and even their career marks. The shortlisted candidates are called for personal interviews to be conducted by a panel consisting of faculty members. Results of the KIITEE examination are released by the institute immediately after the KIITEE concludes. This is generally during the first week of the months of May or June. On the basis of the ranks and the marks secured in the examination, candidates are required to go through the counselling procedure.

Classes start from the first week of August every year.
