KIIT Polytechnic Conducts Induction Program-2021 for Freshers

An Induction Program-2021 was held by KP or KIIT Polytechnic for the students of the first year. The program took place on December 8, 2021, in virtual mode. Dr. Tanmaya Mohanty, the Principal at KIIT Polytechnic, addressed all the first year students about the mission of the Induction Program while presenting a short profile of KP and its founding members. The principal had his emphasis on SPICES or Skill-Products-Interns-Connects-Exposure, offered to the KP students apart from their regular curriculum.

             

Dr. Tanmaya Mohanty further showcased the success story of the last academic year. Mr. Sukanta Kumar Rout, the Vice-Principal of KIIT Polytechnic, brought forward the details of the evaluation and examination system practised in the field of Diploma Engineering. Mr. Sukanta also informed the first year students about the varied benefits of examinations in refurbishing the Teaching-Learning procedure and the way they help in improving the learning of the students.

Mr. Lalita Mohan Lenka, the Head of Department, Coordinator and BSH, Students’ Affairs, KIIT Polytechnic, addressed the first year students on different activities that they can indulge in and also the different clubs that they can become members of for their all-round development. He even advised the students on following the 3Ds of success, namely Determination, Devotion and Dedication, that can help them in becoming better citizens of India. The Head of Department in Electrical Engineering field, KIIT Polytechnic, Mr. Abhaya Kumar Behera, brought forward the entire academic procedure in the diploma curriculum along with the details of the academic ambience students can expect at KIIT Polytechnic. Mr. Abhaya further suggested that the students should make it a point to use all available resources at KIIT Polytechnic for their academic development and improvement.

The Administrative Officer at KIIT Polytechnic, Mr. Satya Sundar Das, reflected on the code of conduct and ethics that need to be followed by the students while they lead their student life at KP. Mr Satya further laid stress on the varied facilities available for the students at KP, which include KISS Temple, Sports and KIMS. Executive Assistant and In-Charge, Students’ Scholarship, KIIT Polytechnic, Mr. Ashok Kumar Sahoo, detailed the different scholarships available to the students at KIIT Polytechnic. He also gave information about the different schemes of the government available to the eligible students by KIIT. Lastly, there was Ms. Sradhanjali Das, Lecturer of Physics and Coordinator, 1st Year at KP, hosting the entire event and proposing the vote of thanks.
