Annual Academic Excellence Awards in Radio Diagnosis 2021

The Director-General of KIMS, Dr. (Maj. Gen.) P.K. Patnaik distributed the Annual Academic Excellence Awards to outstanding Post Graduate Residents in Radiology at an event conducted by the Faculty of Radio Diagnosis at KIMS. This event was organised on December 23, 2021.

          



The award for the “Best Student of the Batch 2019-21” was adjudged to Dr. Ajay Sharma for his consistent and outstanding academic activities, day-to-day dealing with challenges in the patient care sector and for maintaining high standards in teaching skills with postgraduate, inter-departmental forums and postgraduates. Dr. Achyuta Samanta, the Founder of KISS & KIIT, personal appreciated Sr. Sharma’s contribution and involvement towards the needy and the poor in the remote tribal regions in Daringbadi.


The “Best Student of the Year” award was offered to Dr. Akshat Agarwal for his excellent academic excellence in the year 2020-2021 and even for securing an international professional fellowship. The award for the “Highest Number of Paper Publications” went to Dr. Roopak Dubey, the second time in a row. He was awarded the trophy for his work in co-authoring the textbook named “Covitale through the eyes of an Imageologist.”


The telecast of this award function was done online for interaction with the parents who were simply emotional and elated to be a key part of this function. Parents’ emotion knew no bounds when they saw the transformation of their wards into young budding experts doctors, perfectly and carefully nurtured in KIMS’ Department of Radio Diagnosis.

The Director-General was very happy to find that the bright students from across the country prefer KIMS for their pursuit of Radiology because of its wonderful training standards that eventually lead the students to success. He even congratulated the technical staff and faculty at KIMS on this occasion for their persistent hard work and dedication.
