Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav KSAC Organizes Event to Highlight Cultural Evolution of Indian Music

“Music, once admitted to the soul, becomes a sort of spirit and never dies”. The saying goes right considering that Music is the ultimate euphony of life, carrying its essence through several generations. Team Korus, the dance and music society of KIIT functioning under the KIIT Student Activity Centre, organized a musical event on January 26, 2022 as part of the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, a Government of India initiative. KSAC organized this event with the objective of highlighting the cultural progress of Indian music.

The event witnessed enthusiastic classical music and folk Bollywood music performances by the students. The song performances came from Annisa Dutta,Ritoja Basu, Kushan Sen Gupta, Subhangi Rout, Siddhant Seel, Sanchari Bhowmick, Indrani Chakraborty, Arpita Nath, Dishani Basak, Arpita Das and Mihir Chaudhary. All the performances premiered on YouTube.

Amristansh Tiwari, Siddhant Seel and Ankush Das presented the instrumental music performance. The video editors at the event were Lekhansh Ruprela, Ankush Das and Sabyasachi Mishra while Rohit Mishra, Anshul Jain and Ankush Das served as the audio editors.

Ashwani Singh, Yash and Debarghya Mukherjee from Kalliope, the Anchoring Society under KSAC, hosted the event. Subhojeet Bhattacharya and Sudeshna Dutta coordinated the event. The Deputy Director, Student Services, Dr. Shyam Sundar Behura, congratulated all the team members for performing flawlessly at the event.
