Turkey climbs four spots to the top of the list of the best countries to study in for 2021. According to UNESCO, Turkey will welcome more than 125,000 international students in 2020. The highly ranked Boaziçi University and Middle East Technical University are among the country's several dozen international universities.

South Korea is ranked second.

According to UNESCO, South Korea will have over 84,000 international students by 2020. Seoul National University, the No. 1 Best Global Universities in South Korea and the No. 15 Best Global Universities in Asia, is one of the country's more than three dozen global universities.

Emirates (UAE) is ranked third.

According to UNESCO, the United Arab Emirates, which is made up of seven emirates, welcomed more than 225,000 international students in 2020.Khalifa University of Science and Technology is located in the country and is ranked 144th in the Best Global Universities in Asia Rankings and 82nd in the Best Universities for Chemical Engineering.

Egypt is ranked fourth.

Cairo University, Mansoura University, and Ain Shams University are among the 16 global universities in Egypt. Cairo University was also ranked No. 6 in the Best Global Universities in Africa list, as well as No. 90 in the Best Global Universities for Pharmacology and Toxicology list.

Indonesia is ranked number five.
